The World Health Organization estimates that 15% of people worldwide are living with a handicap, making this population the world’s largest minority. Disability inclusive WASH is Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene that is accessible, inexpensive, and respectable for individuals with disabilities. Due to societal stigma, accessibility issues, marginalization, and discrimination, people with disabilities represent some of the most vulnerable individuals within our target communities. Kaana Foundation for Outreach Programs (KAFOP) recognizes that WASH initiatives must be disability inclusive in order to: realize the fundamental human right to water and sanitation; reach the most vulnerable; and set the standard for inclusion in other community-based initiatives to increase access. KAFOP frequently starts its work in communities with WASH initiatives. Disability inclusive WASH safeguards the inclusion of people with disabilities and frequently paves the way for inclusion in other parts of society as well.

Kaana Foundation for outreach programs is a non-profit and non-partisan Organization that aims to support and empower young people, women and children afflicted by HIV and WASH related concerns….
