At KAFOP, we support the idea that every woman and girl has the right to menstruate with dignity, self-assurance, and support. Our programs tackle all facets of menstrual health and hygiene, including advocacy, policy, timely and accurate information about menstruation, social norms surrounding menstruation, access to safe and inexpensive period hygiene products, and access to restrooms and washing facilities. KAFOP has assisted 15 primary schools with menstrual hygiene management trainings and distributed over 20,000 reusable sanitary pads to vulnerable girls and adolescents in families affected/ infected by HIV/AIDS; thanks to support from Irise International and funding from Baylor Uganda.
